Enterprise Sales – West Region Representative

Working in an outside sales capacity on the richrelevance enterprise sales team, this individual contributor will be charged with securing revenue-generating deals for the richrelevance SaaS recommendation engine on top tier US e-commerce sites. Must be comfortable representing leading-edge e-commerce SaaS applications in a complex, multi-level, selling environment. Individual must be highly effective in navigating all facets of the enterprise sales process; from prospecting to discovery to pitching to negotiation to closing. Prior success selling into complex customer environments is essential. Individual must be able to think creatively, sell strategically and communicate efficiently internally and externally. They will have a strong desire to succeed, and to continually develop their personal and professional skills.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Selling richrelevance’s product recommendation engine SaaS application to the top 500 e-commerce sites in the US.
  • Continuously prospect and pitch new clients to secure incremental revenue by closing new business.
  • Shepherd client relationships from the early stages of the sales process through to post-sales setup and integration.
  • Create and/or review sales reports and forecasts, and ongoing status reports
Additional Skills:
  • Prioritize and organize sales calls for maximum revenue impact
  • Coordinate with Sales VP to develop territory strategy and execution plan
  • Complete regular call reports to update sales management and internal counterparts on account activity
  • Comfort with outbound cold-calling a must
  • Coordinate with, and provide market feedback to, internal counterparts in marketing, product, and technical integration. Produce regular forecast reports for sales and business management

The Inside Sales Representative will be teamed with Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Engineers to maximize revenue productivity and accelerate deal flow in each region

Must be comfortable representing leading-edge e-commerce SaaS applications in a complex, multi-level, selling environment. Individual must be highly effective in navigating all facets of the enterprise sales process; from prospecting to discovery to pitching to negotiation to closing. Ability to progress deals over the phone is key. Prior success selling into complex customer environments is essential. They will have a strong desire to succeed, and to continually develop their personal and professional skills.

Senior Infrastructure and Reliability Engineer

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented engineer to drive continuous quality improvement to our server-side software components. The scope includes reliability, stability, correctness, and performance and encompasses infrastructure, tools, and product enhancement. The software functionality is wide ranging, including high volume content generation, logging, analytics, and distributed processing. As the ideal candidate, you will be able to work with minimal supervision, and build frameworks in Java and other technologies to drive our effort to produce extremely reliable, high quality, high performance product. You will be responsible for formulating and implementing approaches for quality improvement including, but not limited to: infrastructure and tools development, test environment design, test plan synthesis, product features, and product instrumentation. As an integral member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with development engineers through the whole project cycle.

Responsibilities (what you get to do every day!):

  • Principle: 100% customer satisfaction
  • Work with Engineering to continuously refine our architecture at scale
  • Own and manage our multiple data centers across the US and internationally
    • Manage outside vendor relationships—much of our infrastructure is managed services
    • Scale up systems/centers to maintain a steady-state maximum @ < 40% of capacity
    • 00’s of servers, gbit’s of bandwidth, 10’s of T’s of data/day
  • Manage any outages, emergencies removing or reducing customer impact
  • Responsible for all facets of servers and Java-application servers for applications.
  • Oversee internal systems—e-mail, Wiki, tickets, etc (Jira, Confluence
  • Monitor system performance from bandwidth to response times
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Investigate and recommend ways to more elegantly/efficiently enhance processing time, reliability, scalability and ease of deployment
  • Produce and maintain documentation on installations, incidents and FAQs through Confluence
  • Contribute to planning efforts for disaster recovery, capacity expansion, component upgrading and system hardening
  • Maintain data center operation procedures in collaboration with Engineering staff and Client Services staff (Sales & Account Management)
